JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Video Game Art Institute is dedicated to preparing students for careers in AAA game development. We are looking for a talented and passionate 3D Asset/Prop Artist who can bring worlds to life by creating high-quality props and environment assets. This role requires strong skills in modeling, texturing, and an understanding of real-time game engine workflows.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a keen artistic eye, and is motivated to push the visual quality of our projects while maintaining efficiency and performance standards.


What you will do:
1. Create high-quality 3D props and environment assets for AAA game projects.
2. Develop both realistic and stylized models depending on project requirements.
3. Apply advanced texturing techniques using industry-standard tools to achieve high fidelity and optimized assets.
4. Ensure assets are game-ready, optimized for performance, and consistent with technical requirements.
5. Collaborate closely with environment artists, designers, and technical artists to integrate assets into the game engine.
6. Maintain consistency with project art direction and style guides.
7. Stay updated on current trends, tools, and techniques in AAA asset creation.


What you bring:
1.Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.
2. Strong knowledge of texturing tools such as Substance Painter/Designer and Photoshop.
3. Basic understanding of game engines (Unreal Engine or Unity)
4. Ability to create both high-poly and low-poly assets.
5. Strong artistic sense of form, proportion, scale, and detail.
6. Maintain consistency with project art direction and style guides.
7. Portfolio demonstrating AAA-quality prop/environment work.


Bonus skills:
1. Experience with modular asset creation for environments.
2. Understanding of optimization for real-time rendering.
3. Basic knowledge of shaders and materials inside game engines.
4. Experience with ZBrush or sculpting software.
